Lean on me

It's all about comfort this year when it comes to peoples's choice of car accessories. The message from motorists is that while they're holding onto their old cars, their making sure that they're comfortable to drive. The Armrest is one of the most popular car accessories that we're selling this year. Any high spec car will come with a centre armrest as standard, but for those of us not lucky enough to afford a high spec car, the Armster Armrest is a way to upgrade your car with the least amount of work.

Not all cars are suitable for the car arm rest but there are a huge range of cars that are. The armrest has a leatherette top, very comfortable for your elbow as you drive around. The top pops up to reveal an extra storage compartment for your mobile phone or keys etc. If you don't feel like using it for a while it folds upwards between the two seats out of the way. A sign of the times - we've even had car dealerships buying them off us in order to upgrade cars to help with a sale. This is not a universal armrest, it is specific to the car.

Fitting take about 15 mins. It does require usage of a drill (3mm bit not supplied) - but all screws are supplied. The armrest adapter screws on to the console with the provided self tapping screws. Also, if you change car then it is possible to purchase just the adapter for the car and transfer the Armrest across.

Radio for motoring

Friday, 24 July 2009 06:58 by Mark

I'm a big fan of the Irish Times Motoring supplement. It's a quality publication with a crew of true professionals who really know what they're writing about. They've also branched into the audio world with the launch of Torque Radio (great name), which is a series of Podcasts on various topics, some of which have been covered in the newspaper. The show is hosted by well known Irish motoring journalist, Paddy Comyn. It's well worth bookmarking.

gadgets galore

Wednesday, 15 July 2009 03:45 by Mark

The Irish Times Motoring  profiles our Seecode Wheel  bluetooth steering wheel device today. They have a great Gadget section each week, where they profile gadgets, some car related and some not.

I also like the sound of this gadget which they also profile today -

IOGEAR USB to VGA adaptor kit - tenzy.co.uk

The Wireless USB to VGA Kit is a simple-to-install solution to enable users to wirelessly add a high resolution VGA display to a PC, ideal for displaying content on a remote monitor or screen. Wireless up to 30 feet, the USB to VGA Kit is ideal for taking advantage of increased online programme availability through tools such as the RTÉ Player. It is also perfect for presentations and demonstrations, saving the hassle of gathering around a small computer screen.

The kit also has the function of running a PC desktop with live TV, useful for browsing the internet alongside live television to check programme listings and relevant websites.

New look product pages

Thursday, 9 July 2009 04:52 by Mark

We're not one of these websites that constantly changes our look, but we have redesigned our product pages. As well as the new design of the Product Page, we've developed a Product Q&A section on the page, which should help customers with the most common queries around certain products.

We will soon be launching a Product Review facility where customers can review products they have purchased and we will post the reviews onto the Product Page also. Watch this space!
