Christmas gifts

Wednesday, 11 November 2009 04:56 by Mark

It's that time of the year again and while it may not feel festive yet, online retailers like MicksGarage are already geared up for Christmas. We have our Christmas page up already, although there will be some additions such as our Handsfree Bluetooth products . Last year for Christmas we actually sold out of our seat covers and the Haynes Build Your Own Engine so be warned! The Haynes Engine is a brilliant present for anyone interested in cars, engines or just interested in a few hours fun and education with the kids (over 10 years old) over the Christmas period.

Have you always wanted to own a VW camper van but just dont have the cash at the moment? well then check out our Haynes radio controlled camper van (or the mini).

Have you always wanted to do a bit of tinkering on the car but just don';t know where to start? Then check out our Haynes car DIY manuals. We've got them for practically every model of vehicle.

We also have some nice pressies for the ladies this year, with our new pink seat covers and the Iqua bluetooth earpiece.

So remember, get your orders in early. While we do have next day delivery, we can't guarantee that all of these items will be in stock closer to Christmas.

Sat Nav breakthrough?

Wednesday, 7 October 2009 03:25 by Mark

There could be good news in store for Sat Nav motorists in Ireland The Irish Times Motoring reports today that Navteq, the GPS technology company is in talks with Ordinance Survey Ireland about supplying mapping data. This could be good news for Sat Nav users in this country who will know only too well that the Irish mapping on their devices is well behind the changes in the roads. A deal with OSI could speed things up significantly in upgrading of the maps. Fingers crossed...

The Indo has an article today warning drivers over energy drinks. The Times has a piece about a cut in the alcohol limit coming next year. Worth a read.
