One of our recent Free Friday competition winners was Hilary Weldon, who won a 'Haynes Build your Own Engine' which she gave to her son Robert. I built the Internal Combustion Engine in an
afternoon. Whilst most of the instructions were self explanatory I found
difficulty with instruction 4.It was misleading but after careful study I
overcame the difficulty. Otherwise I got through it fine. I was delighted
when I’d finished and to see the engine running was a great thrill.
Anyone that visits and sees the engine running is
quite impressed. Great fun, I was quite thrilled that I could finish
it.
