Land speed record attempt

Sky News reports today that a British team is building a car that will aim to drive more than 1000mph. The record attempt will happen in 2011. The current world record is 763mph set in 1997. The car has been christened 'Bloodhound', although 'Greyhound' would probably be a better choice. You can follow their progress on their website and you can even donate money for the project.

The Filter is also working on a world land speed record attempt. Hopefully we'll break the record with our own cutting-edge design. And we don't need any donations...
